  1. Every now and again Voodoohop organises parties on the Minhocao on a Sunday. Four or five DJs set up and play along this stretch of road to crowds that gather specifically for the event. I particularly enjoy these, because like you say, the Minhocao has a certain charm that you can’t really appreciate in a car.

  2. Tom, interesting insight into Sampa. Must have been a trend in Latin America as Buenos Aires has la autopista General Paz which gives you the sensation of floating/flying through the city albeit often at a snail’s pace.

    • Haha no worries.

I think I once walked along General Paz, although my most epic walk in Buenos Aires was after one night out at a club that was miles out of town near the airport. We walked home at 6am along what appeared to be the motorway. It was so far out of town we even walked through a road toll booth!
